Heritage Action with ASM boosts the plant's ability to engage its own natural defenses.

ASM is recognized by the Fungicide Resistance Action Committee (FRAC) to have Systemic Acquired Resistance (SAR) effects.

Three criteria to qualify Heritage Action as a SAR compound

Chemically treated plants must provide the same resistance expression as biologically-induced plants.
The product must not show any direct activity on the pest.
Biochemical processes induced by the compound should be the same as the natural plant processes.

ASM Gene Expression

Plants work to protect themselves from pathogens all the time.
As seen in the Tobacco Mosaic Virus study, ASM produces the same pattern of gene expression as the virus pathogen but more consistently and at higher intensity.

ASM Activity

To qualify as a SAR compound, the product must not show any direct activity on the pest. ASM helps boost the plant's natural defenses to control diseases.

The two petri dishes above contain the dollar spot pathogen. There is no difference in fungal growth in treated versus non-treated petri dishes, which means ASM has no direct control of a pathogen.

When compared with Insignia^® SC Intrinsic^® brand fungicide, turf treated with Heritage Action fungicide showed better drought tolerance.

Daconil Action and Heritage Action Provide Superior Turf Quality and Anthracnose Control on Poa annua Greens

In a summer trial, Daconil Action was tested with a variety of fungicides to measure anthracnose control and summer turf quality. Daconil Action and Heritage Action yielded the best results with very low disease pressure and a turf quality rating greater than 8.5.

Fungicide Performance on Hybrid Bermudagrass under Drought Stress

Under severe and repeated water deficits, ASM improved bermudagrass. Bermudagrass was taken through 3 drought cycles.
